Sports PR 03/23/2010
On March 10, Adam Rose, PR Manager for the Milwaukee Bucks, came to speak to PRSSA about the ins and outs of sports PR, a topic that seems in interest many of our members. Adam is in his third year working with the Bucks and this is his first year as PR manager. As the PR manager, he works with the rest of the public relations staff to prepare the media guide, and write press releases and daily e-mails. On game days, he prepares prep notes, organizes locker room interviews, communicates with Bucks and the opposing team's media, and focuses on pre- and post game work, which constitutes the bulk of his job on game nights. Adam emphasized that there are no typical days in his job, but that is part of the reason why he enjoys it so much. If you are interested in sports PR or other areas of public relations, be sure to look for posters advertising our meeting dates. Tomorrow, March 24, Amanda Williams of Branigan Communications will present of demonstration of Cision.
